2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, ANNEXING TO THE CITY CERTAIN
LAND CONTIGUOUS THERETO, APPROXIMATELY 4.5 ACRES IN SIZE, AND MORE
3 PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN ATTACHED EXHIBIT A (THE "GREEN RIVER"
ANNEXATION)
5 WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 35A.14 RCW, the owners of not less
6 than 75 percent of value according to the assessed valuation for general taxa-
7 tion of certain lands in King County, Washington and more particularly
8 described in attached Exhibit A, filed their petition with the City Council of
9 the City of Auburn, Washington, petitioning to have annexed to the City of
10 Auburn the said described land; and
]1 WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 35A.14 RCW various proceedings were
12 had; and
13 WHEREAS, notice of intention to annex was filed with the King County
]4 Boundary Review Board; and
15 WHEREAS, the King County Boundary Review Board has waived review and, no
16 request for jurisdiction having been filed, the proposed annexation is deemed
17 approved as a matter of law; and
18 WHEREAS, it appears to the City of Auburn, that said annexation meets the
19 requirements specified by law; the procedure for the filing with the City of
20 Auburn by the requisite number of property owners of their notice of intention
21 to commence annexation proceedings, to and including the consideration of the
22 passage of this ordinance also meets the requirements specified by law; and
23 the lands proposed to be annexed are contiguous to the City of Auburn and have
2~1 not heretofore been incorporated in as a City of Town;
25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
26 WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS:
27 Section 1. That there shall be annexed to the City of Auburn, Washington,
28 the property situated in the County of King, State of Washington, which legal
29 description is set forth in the attached Exhibit A, incorporated and by

reference made a part of this Ordinance.
2 Section 2. That the property hereby annexed shall be assessed and taxed at
$ the same rate and on the same basis as other property within the City of
4 Auburn is assessed and taxed to pay for any outstanding general indebtedness
5 of the City to which the area was annexed.
6 Section 3. That the annexation of the property will become effective on
? the effective date of this Ordinance and the property shall become part of the
8 Cityof Auburn, subject to all of the laws and ordinances of the City then
9 otherwise provided by law.
10 Section 4. Within ten {10) days after the effective date of the annexa-
11 tion referred to in this ordinance, the City Clerk of the City of Auburn shall
12 send to the Office of the City Clerk of the County Council seven {7) certified
13 copies of this Ordinance together with a copy of a letter from the Executive
14 Secretary of the King County Boundary Review Board which letter contains a
15 copy of the decision of the Boundary Review Board relating to this annexation.
16 Section 5. The City Clerk of the City of Auburn shall file a certified
17 copy of this Ordinance with the King County Department of Assessments,
18 Accounting Division.
19 Section 6. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administra-
20 rive procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this
21 legislation.

1 Section 7. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days
2 from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
