AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, APPROVING THE
APPROPRIATION OF THE SUM OF THREE HUNDRED FORTY-FIVE THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($345,000) IN 1993-1994 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn must
adopt and approve all appropriations by ordinance pursuant to
Chapter 35A RCW;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to Chapter 35A.33 RCW, the City
Council of the City of Auburn hereby approves the expenditure
and appropriation of Three Hundred Forty-Five Thousand Dollars
($345,000) in 1993-1994 Community Development Block Grant
funds, as approved and recommended by the Planning & Community
Development Committee of the City of Auburn. The specific
expenditures are itemized in Exhibit "A", which is attached
hereto and incorporated by reference herein.
Section 2. The project funds must be used to the benefit
of low and moderate income residents.
Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement
such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry
out the directives of this legislation.

effect five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication, as provided by law.

providing job readiness training. Program located

CDBG funds to be used to provide before and after
school care and summer care for low income Auburn
children. Program located in Terminal Park and Dick
Scobee Elementary Schools, Auburn. YMCA offices
located at 1005 12th ST. SE, Auburn. (eligible under

11. YWCA Homeless/Transitional Housing

CDBG funds to be used in operating transitional and
emergency shelters for homeless people. Facility to
be located at 640 "L" St. Southeast, Auburn.
