AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING
AUBURN CITY ORDINANCE NOS. 3009 (PASSED SEPTEMBER 15, 1975)
AND ORDINANCE NO. 4488 (PASSED MARCH 4, 1991) AND CODIFIED AS
AUBURN CITY CODE CHAPTER 2.36 RELATING TO THE HUMAN RESOURCES
COMMITTEE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON,
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.

Committee, is hereby amended to read as
CHAPTER 2.36
HUMAN ((RESeI~ReES)) SERVICES COMMITTEE
2.36.010 Creation -- Purpose.
There is created the human ((rese~rees)) services
committee which is established to review the social needs of
the city that should be considered when appropriating federal
revenue sharing funds and general funds, and also to serve as
a committee to advise the mayor and the council on allocation
and application for grant funds to be used for community
development projects.

2.36.020 Powers and duties.
The human ((FeseuFees)) services committee should assist
and advise elected officials of the city in identifying the
local social service needs and recommending priorities to meet
those needs including but not restricted to proposing
programs, reviewing and evaluating existing programs,
encouraging citizen participation, and performing other
assignments referred to the committee by the mayor or council
as deemed appropriate. The committee shall establish, subject
to the approval of the mayor and council, necessary policies,
goals, rules, and regulations to conduct the activities of the
human ((~eso~ees)) services committee.
2.36.030 Appointment -- Terms.
There shall be eleven persons appointed to the city human
((~esea~ees)) services committee and said persons shall serve
for staggered terms of five years.
2.36.040 Appointment -- Authority.
The members of the city human ((~eeea~eee)) services
committee shall be appointed by the mayor and confirmed by a
majority of the council.
