HomeMy WebLinkAbout46998 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 ORDINANCE NO. 4 6 9 9 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4618 WHICH ORDINANCE APPROVED THE 1993-1994 APPROPRIATION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS TO REALLOCATE UNUSED FUNDS. Wq{EREAS, certain 1993-1994 Community Development Block Grant funds appropriated for use by St. Vincent DePaul was returned to the City; and WHEREAS, Children's Home Society and Auburn Youth Resources have need of additional funds; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on August 15, 1994 regarding the reallocation of returned Community Block Grant Funds to the Children's Home Society Modular Building Project in the amount of $12,500 and to the Auburn Youth Resources Center in the amount of $12,500; and WHEREAS, such reallocation of funds was approved by the Auburn City Council on August 15, 1994. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Auburn City Ordinance No. 4618 is hereby amended to reallocate 1993-1994 Community Development Block Grant funds in the amount of $25,000 originally allocated to St. Vincent DePaul in the following manner: Ordinance No. 4699 August 30, 1994 Page I 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 1. Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($12,500) to assist in the acquisition and placement of a modular building to serve Families First and other programs managed by Children's Home Society; and 2. Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($12,500) to Auburn Youth Resources for the acquisition and rehabilitation of a facility to serve as a resource center for at-risk youth. Bectlon z. The project funds must be used to the benefit of low and moderate income residents. section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation. Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in force and take effect five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
