HomeMy WebLinkAbout4703 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 ORDINANCE NO. 4 7 0 3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, ESTABLISHING A FEE TO BE PAID BY PERSONS CONFINED IN THE CITY JAIL THAT REQUEST HEALTH SERVICES IN THE AMOUNT OF FIVE DOLLARS, WHICH AMOUNT TO BE REVIEWED FROM TIME TO TIME BASED UPON COSTS. WHEREAS, the City of Auburn operates a municipal jail facility; and WHEREAS, periodically people confined in the jail facility request health services; and WHEREAS, health care companies have found that complaints; and WHEREAS, the City recognizes the services in the event that an inmate will not be denied based upon non-payment request is made. NOW, THEREFORE, CITY COUNCIL OF THE WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: providers and health care insurance a co-pay will eliminate frivolous necessity of medical requests the same and at the time the CITY OF AUBURN, Section 1. There is hereby established a fee of Five Dollars ($5.00) to be collected from persons who are confined in the Auburn City Jail and request health services. Section 2. If any provision of this Ordinance is determined to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason the remaining provisions shall remain in force and effect. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation. Section 4.
