WHEREAS, the Washington State Legislature readopted the Washington Model traffic Ordinance in the Washington Administrative Code in Chapter 308-330 WAC, said readoption being effective on July 1, 1994; and WHEREAS, the City of Auburn Chapter 10.16 is in conflict with the readopted Washington Model Traffic Ordinance; and WHEREAS, the City of Auburn adopted by reference, effective July 1, 1994 in Auburn City Code Chapter 10.04, the Washington Model traffic Ordinance as contained in the Washington Administrative code in Chapter 308-330 WAC; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. PURPOSE. The purpose of this Ordinance is as follows: To repeal code chapter 10.16 entitled "DRIVING WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED OR REVOKED". Section 2. REPEAL OF CHAPTER 10.16 OF AUBURN CITY CODE. Chapter 10.16 entitled "DRIVING WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED OR REVOKED" is hereby repealed. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this legislation. Beotion 4.
