AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, ADDING SECTIONS 9.01.450 ENTITLED "PUBLIC
NUISANCE", 9.01.460 ENTITLED "UNEQUAL DAMAGES", 9.01.470
ENTITLED "MAINTAINING OR PERMITTING NUISANCE", 9.01.480
ENTITLED "ABATEMENT OF NUISANCE", AND 9.01.490 ENTITLED
"DEPOSIT OF UNWHOLESOME SUBSTANCE" TO THE AUBURN CITY CODE
CHAPTER 9.01 ENTITLED "SPECIFIED CRIMINAL STATUTES ADOPTED BY
REFERENCE" CONTAINED IN AUBURN CITY CODE TITLE 9 ENTITLED "
PUBLIC PEACE, MORALS, AND WELFARE".
WHEREAS, the state legislature has provided that criminal
enforcement ordinances relating to and regulating municipal
affairs, may impose penalties of a fine not exceeding five
thousand dollars or imprisonment for any term not exceeding
one year, or both, for violation of such ordinances,
constituting misdemeanor or gross misdemeanor violations; and
WHEREAS, the state legislature has provided that the
punishment provided in state law for the same crime must have
a penalty consistant with state law requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
PURPOSe. The purpose of this ordinance is
as follows:

To add to Auburn City Code Chapter 9.01 entitled
"Specified criminal statutes adopted by reference", sections
9.01.450 entitled "Public nuisance", 9.01.460 entitled
"Unequal damages", 9.01.470 entitled "Maintaining or
permittin9 nuisance", 9.01.480 entitled "Abatement of
nuisance", and 9.01.490 entitled "Deposit of unwholesome
substance" by adopting by reference Chapter 9.66 RCW.
