HomeMy WebLinkAbout4880 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 ORDINkNCE NO. 4 8 8 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, APPROVING AN APPROPRIATION OF GR3%NT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF SIX THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FIFTY AND 00/100 DOLLARS, ($6,250.00), AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE GR3kNT FROM UNITED WAY OF KING COUNTY FOR LATE NIGHT AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS. WHEREAS, the Auburn City Council of the City of Auburn must adopt and approve all appropriations by Ordinance pursuant to Chapter 35A.33 RCW; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: ~ Pursuant to Chapter 35A.33 RCW the City hereby approves the expenditure and appropriation of a total amount of SIX THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FIFTY and 00/100 DOLLARS ($6,250.00), which constitutes a grant pursuant to the Agreement between the City of Auburn and the United Way of King County. ~ The Mayor and Auburn are hereby authorized to Targeted Support Agreement, which will provide grant City Clerk of the City of execute United Way of King funding to the City of Auburn for use by the City to provide late night and after school programs within the City of Auburn. A copy of said Agreement is attached hereto and designated Exhibit "A" and is incorporated by reference in this Ordinance. This grant is restricted to Late Night and After School Programs. This funding is considered time-limited. Prior to the end of the grant period, your agency will be expected to complete an evaluation of outcomes, based on the intent of the original project and the specific outcomes anticipated for the additional six months of funding. Please remember that, as always, your grant is a planning amount and is not a pledge. Also, as a recipient of Targeted Support funding, Auburn Parks & Recreation Department will be classified as a United Way of King County Affiliated Agency, and will be listed in the 1996 United Way campaign materials. In addition, your agency will be eligible to apply for funds that are contributed to United Way by donors who designate their contribution to specific Areas of Need. Information about this process and a Request for Qualifications will be mailed to you on June 10, 1996. Please refer to your copies of the United Way of King County policies on agency relationships, including the benefits and responsibilities of the grantee agency funding relationship which you received and signed in June, 1995.
