3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDS FROM THE
4 STATE OF WASHINGTON, DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY, TRADE AND
5 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, OFFICE OF CRIME VICTIMS ADVOCACY, IN THE
AMOUNT OF SEVENTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($17,000) FOR THE PURPOSE
6 OF CREATING A NEIGHBORHOOD FAMILY CENTER AT MT. BAKER MIDDLE
SCHOOL AND PROVIDING FOR THE EXPENDITURE AND APPROPRIATION
7 THEREOF.

9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn must
10 adopt and approve all appropriations by Ordinance pursuant to
11
Chapter 35A.33 RCW;

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,

14 WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
15 Se~t4on 1. Pursuant to Chapter 35A.33 RCW, the City
16 Council hereby accepts the grant from the State of
17
Washington's Office of Crime Victim Advocacy and deposits said
]8
grant funds in the City of Auburn's general fund.

20 Se~t.~on ~. The City Council hereby approves the
2] expenditure and appropriation of Seventeen Thousand Dollars
22 ($17,000) of State of Washington grant funds for the creation
23
of a Neighborhood Family Center at Mt. Baker Middle School and

] approves program costs said Neighborhood Family Center may

incur.

Sect.~on 3. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of
4
Auburn are hereby authorized to execute Contract No. 96-317-
5
6 003, between the City and the State of Washington, Department
7 of Community, Trade and Economic Development, Office of Crime
8
Victims Advocacy. Said Contact is attached hereto, designated
9
Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this reference.

Sect4on 4. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement
]]
]2 such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry
13 out the directives of this legislation.

Se~t.4on 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
]5
force five days from and after its passage, approval and
17 publication as provided by law.
