3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT FROM THE
4 FEDERAL RAILROAD ADMINISTRATION (FRA) TO BE USED FOR AN
EXAMINATION OF THE IMPACT OF GRADE SEPARATION CONSTRUCTION AND

AMENDMENT OF THE AUBURN DOWNTOWN PLAN FOR THE CITY OF AUBURN.
7 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn must
8 adopt and approve all appropriations by Ordinance pursuant to
9
Chapter 35A.33 RCW; and
10
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,

12 WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
]3 Section !. Pursuant to Chapter 35A.33 RCW, the City
14 Council hereby approves expenditure and appropriation of a
15
grant from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) which
]6
will be used for an examination of the impact of grade
17
18 separation construction and amendment of the Downtown Plan for
19 the City of Auburn, in the amount of $100,000 with $75,000 in
20 local matching funds and authorizes the Mayor to execute Grant
2]
Agreement No. DTFRDV-97-G-60013 between the City and the
22
Federal Railroad Administration, a copy of which is attached

24 hereto as Exhibit "A" and is incorporated herein by reference.

1 Sect.~on .~. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement
such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry
out the directions of this legislation.

5 Sect.ion 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
6 force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
7 publication, as provided by law.
