AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING CITY CODE CHAPTER 10.36 ENTITLED
"STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING" BY AMENDING SECTION 10.36.380
ENTITLED nONE-HOUR PARKING ZONES" AND SECTION 10.36.290
ENTITLED nPROHIBITED PARKING AREAS NORTHEAST AUBURN" TO
PROVIDE FOR THE INTERIM TRANSIT HUB STATION OPERATED BY KING
COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, AND TO REVISE THE PARKING
RESTRICTIONS IN THE CODE RELATED TO THE CHANGE IN DIRECTION OF
TRAFFIC FLOW, AND TO UPDATE THE CODE TO REFLECT CURRENT ONE
WAY STREET NAMES.
WHEREAS, Section 10.36.380 entitled nOne-hour parking
zones" contained in City of Auburn Code Chapter 10.36,
entitled ~STOPPING, STANDING, AND PARKING", provides for
restricted nOne-hour- parking on both sides of B Street from
East Main to 1st Street Northeast requiring a revision to
reflect Ueast side only"; and
WHEREAS, Section 10.36.290 entitled UProhibited parking
areas Northeast Auburn" contained in City of Auburn Code
Chapter 10.36, entitled, uSTOPPING, STANDING, AND PARKING"
requires amendment to reflect the prohibition
the nwest side only"; and

WHEREAS, to accommodate the ~Interim" South Kin§ County
Bus Hub and to allocate additional bus stop spaces, it is
necessary to reallocate on-street parking and rechannelize the
section of B Street from East Main to 1st Street Northeast so
that traffic flows in one direction from north to south; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the transit hub will
eventually relocate to the site on B Street Southwest and 2nd
Street Southwest in conjunction with construction of
commuter rail station.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

10.36.380 One-hour parkin9 zones.
A one-hour parking limit without meters is established on the
following streets, which one-hour parking limit shall exist
from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, excluding Sundays and
holidays:
1st Street Northeast, north side between Auburn
Way North and a point 106 feet west.
1st Street Northeast, south side between "B" Street Northeast
and Auburn Way North.
1st Street Northeast, south side between North Division Street
and Auburn Avenue.
1st Street Northwest, both sides between the west curbline of
"A" Street Northwest and the east curbline of "B" Street
Northwest.
4th Street Northeast, south side, beginning at a point 108
feet west of the west curbline of "J" Street Northeast
easterly to a point 78 feet east of the west curbline of "J"

4th Street Northeast, south side, beginning at a point 35 feet
