AN ORDIN/~NCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ACCEPT DONATIONS AND APPROVING THE
EXPENDITURE AND APPROPRIATION OF SUCH DONATIONS TO BE USED BY
THE AUBURN PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT FOR ]PROGRAMS AND
SERVICES IN 1997.
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn desires to accept donations
in the amount of Eleven Thousand Three Hundred[ Sixty-Four
($11,364) Dollars as specified in Section 2 herein to be used
by the
programs and services in 1997; and
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn
acceptance of such donations is in the
City;
Auburn Parks and Recreation Department for department
has determined that
best interests of the
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. PURPOSE. The purpose of this Ordinance is to
accept donations received by the Auburn Parks and Recreation
Department to be used for its programs and services as
provided in Section 2 herein.
Section 2. RECEIPT OF DONATIONS. Donations can be
deposited to either the General Fund or Trust fund depending
on the wishes of the donor. Donations will be used for the
benefit of programs and services in the following program

areas: Specialized Recreation, Cultural Arts, Senior Center,
Recreation, and Parks.
The attached Exhibit "A' is a list of the organizations
from whom donations have been received in 1997 and the amounts
donated.
Section 3. The City Council hereby approves the
expenditure and appropriation of the donations as provided
herein.
Section 4. The Mayor is hereby authorized 'to implement
such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry
out the directions of this legislation.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five days from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.
