HomeMy WebLinkAbout5088 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 ORDINANCE NO. 5 0 8 8 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, ANNEXING TO THE CITY FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES CERTAIN LAND THERETO, KNOWN AS THE LEA HILL PUMP STATION PROPERTY WHICH IS LOCATED IN UNINCORPORATED KING COUNTY TO THE EAST OF THE CITY LIMITS OF AUBURN ON LEA HILL ROAD. WHEREAS, the City of Auburn has acquired l:he Lea Hill Pump Station property, an approximate 0.8 acre parcel of property located approximately on the east side of the City and contiguous to the City of Auburn; and WHEREAS, the property purchased is to be used for municipal utility purposes and therefore is for a municipal purpose; and WHEREAS, Council may in accordance with RCW 35A.14.300 the City by majority vote annex such property for a municipal purpose when owned by the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council on January 2, 1998 by majority vote, instructed the Planning Department to forward the Notice of Intention to the King County Boundary Review Board; and WHEREAS, notice of intention to annex was filed with the King County Boundary Review Board; and WHEREAS, the King County Boundary Review Board received no request to invoke its jurisdiction, therefore the annexation is deemed approved on April 3, 1998 as a matter of law.
