AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, ANNEXING TO
THE CITY A 3.41 ACRE PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED ON THE NORTHWEST
CORNER OF "W" STREET NW AND SOUTH 318TM STREET.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 35A.14 RCW, the
owners of 100% percent of value according to the assessed
valuation for general taxation of certain lands in King
County, Washington, and more particularly described in Section
1 of this Ordinance, filed their petition with the City
Council of the City of Auburn, Washington, petitioning to have
annexed to the City of Auburn the said described land; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 35A.14 RCW various
proceedings were held; and
WHEREAS, notice of intention to annex was filed with the
King County Boundary Review Board; and
W~EREAS, the King County Boundary Review Board approved
the annexation effective September 8, 1998; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the City of Auburn, that said
annexation meets the requirements specified by law; the
procedure for the filing with the City of Auburn by the
requisite number of property owners of their notice of
intention to commence annexation proceedings, to and including
the consideration of the passage of this ordinance also meets
the requirements, specified by law; and the lands proposed to

be annexed are contiguous to the City of Auburn and have not
heretofore been incorporated in as a City or Town;.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That there shall be annexed to the
Auburn,
King,
AUBURN,
City of
Washington, the property situated in the County of
State of Washington, legally described as follows:
That portion of the southeast quarter of
the southwest quarter of Section 11,
Township 21 North, Range 4 East, W.M.
described as follows:
A portion of Lot 5, West Five Acre Tracts,
according to the plat thereof recorded in
volume 15 of plats, page 12, in King
County, Washington, together with the
abutting right of way of 59th Ave. S.,
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning on a point on the Auburn City
Limits as established by City of Auburn
Ordinance No. 4979, said point being the
intersection of said City Limits with the
northeast corner of Lot "A" of King County
Short Plat KCSP-475060-7507290380; thence
south along the east line of said Lot "A"
to the north right of way line of So.
318th St.; thence east along said north
right of way line to the east line of said
Lot 5, West Five Acre Tracts; thence east
along an extended line of said north right
of way line to the Auburn City Limits that
was established by City of Auburn
Ordinance No. 1913; thence north along
said City Limits to the Auburn City Limits
established by said Ordinance No. 4979;
thence westerly along said City Limits to
the point of beginning.

Section 2. That the property hereby annexed shall be
assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as
other property within the City of Auburn is assessed and taxed
to pay for any outstanding general indebtedness of the City to
which the area was annexed.
Section 3. That the annexation of the property will
become effective on the effective date of this Ordinance and
the property shall become part of the City of Auburn, subject
to all of the laws and ordinances of the City then otherwise
provided by law.
Section 4. Within ten (10) days after the effective date
of the annexation referred to in this ordinance, the City
Clerk of the City of Auburn shall send to the Office of the
Clerk o~ the County Council one (1) certified copy of this
Ordinance together with a copy of a letter from the Executive
Secretary of the King County Boundary Review Board, which
letter contains a copy of the decision of the Boundary Review
Board relating to this annexation.

Section 6. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement
such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry
out the directions of this legislation.
