HomeMy WebLinkAbout5173ORDINANCE NO. 5173 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING AUBURN CITY CODE TITLE 9 "PUBLIC PEACE, MORALS AND WELFARE," SPECIFICALLY CHAPTER 9.03 ENTITLED "DOMESTIC VIOLENCE". THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. MORALS AND WELFARE," "DOMESTIC VIOLENCE", Auburn City Code Title 9 "PUBLIC PEACE, specifically Chapter 9.03 entitled is hereby amended as set forth on attached Exhibit "A" and made a part thereof as though set forth in full herein. Section 2. The provisions of this ordinance are declared to be separate and severable. The invalidity of any clause, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, section or portion of this ordinance, or the invalidity of the application thereof to any person or circumstance shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this ordinance, or the validity of its application to other persons or circumstances. Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this legislation. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law. Theft (ACC 9.01.240) Criminal Trespass (ACC 9.01.210, 9.01.220, and o 9.01.230) B. ,'Family or household members,, means spouses, former spouses, persons who have a child in common regardless of whether they have been married or have lived together at any time, adult persons related by blood or marriage, adult persons who are presently residing together or who have resided together in the past, persons sixteen years of age or older who are presently residing together or who have resided together in the past and who have or have had a dating relationship, persons sixteen years of age or older with whom a person sixteen years of age or older has or has had a dating relationship, and persons who have a biological or legal parent-child relationship, including stepparents and stepchildren and grandparents and grandchildren. C. "Dating relationship" means a social relationship of a romantic nature. Factors that the court may consider in making this determination include: (a) The length of time the relationship has existed; (b) the nature of the relationship; and (c) the frequency of interaction between the parties.
