AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, APPROVING AN APPROPRIATION AND EXPENDITURE OF
GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF THIRTEEN THOUSAND AND 00/100
DOLLARS, {$13,000.00), AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
CONTRACT NO. D21325D AMENDMENT NO. 5 WITH KING COUNTY FOR LATE
NIGHT AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS.
WHEREAS, the Auburn City Council of the City of Auburn
must adopt and approve all appropriations by Ordinance
pursuant to Chapter 35A.33 RCW; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
CITY OF AUBURN,
Section 1. Pursuant to Chapter 35A.33 RCW the City
hereby approves the expenditure and appropriation of a total
amount of THIRTEEN THOUSAND and 00/100 DOLLARS ($13,000.00),
which constitutes a grant pursuant to the Agreement between
the City of Auburn and King County Community Services
Division.
Section 2. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of
Auburn are hereby authorized to execute Contract Amendment No.
5 to Contract No. D21325D with King County, to provide grant
funding through June 30, 1999 to the City of Auburn for use by
the City to provide late night and after school programs
within the City of Auburn. A copy of said Contract Amendment
is attached hereto and designated Exhibit "A" and is

1 incorporated by reference in this Ordinance. The original
2 Agreement authorized by Ordinance No. 4794 was passed by the
3 Auburn City Council on October 2, 1995.
Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement
such administrative procedures as may be
out the directions of this legislation.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall
force five (5) days from and after its
publication, as provided by law.

3.) By June 30 1999 the agency shall have completed an additional 420 staff hours from 9-1-98 through 6-30-99.
4.) By June 30 1999 the agency shall have completed and additional 4 late night events for youth documented by participant
sign in sheets and evaluations.
Section III. Compensation and Method of Payment. Change to read:
Upon submission of appropriate documentation of the above activities (report forms attached to original contract),
payments shall be made as follows:
September 1998 through June 1999 $1300 per month
Total payments not to exceed $13,000 for the period of July 1, 1998 through June 30, 1999 dependent upon Council
approval of the 1999 King County Budget.
