AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,

WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO ACQUIRE PROPERTY AND RELOCATE

INHABITANTS RELATED TO CITY PROJECTS PR529 AND PR562.

WHEREAS, the City of Auburn is committed to constructing
7 project PR529, 3rd Street SW Grade Separation/C Street SW/SR
18 Ramp Realignment, and project PR562, Reconstruction and
8
Grade Separation of South 277=h Street; and
9
WHEREAS, these projects require the acquisition of
10
11 numerous properties; and
12 WHEREAS, the City has a contract with Universal Field
Services to negotiate the property acquisition and relocation
]3
]4 duties associated with City projects PR529 and PR562; and
15 WHEREAS, the policies and procedures that will be
]6 followed in regard to negotiation, purchase, and relocation
17 for these properties is governed by federal legislation and
18 will be strictly adhered to; and
19 WHEREAS, negotiation and purchase of these properties in
20 an expeditious manner is imperative to the success of these
2! projects, and delay in the process would not be in the best
22 interest of the City; and
23 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
24 WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

1 Section 1. AGREEMENT. The Mayor of the City of Auburn

is herewith authorized to execute all documents necessary to
3
complete the purchase of property, and relocation of
4
inhabitants related to City projects PR529 and PR562.
5
Section 2. AUTHORIZATION. The Mayor is hereby
authorized to implement such' administrative procedures as may
7
be necessary to fulfill the obligations required by law and
8
the directives of this legislation.
9
Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall take
10
1! effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its
12 passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
