HomeMy WebLinkAbout5237 ORDINANCE NO. 5 2 3 7 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 5215 WHICH AUTHORIZES THE ACCEPTANCE, APPROPRIATION AND EXPENDITURE OF FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA) FROM GRANT AWARD FUNDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHT THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY- TWO DOLLARS ($8,172.00) TO THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHT THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY-EIGHT DOLLARS ($8,558.00) FROM THE STATE AND LOCAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (SLA) WHICH IS ADMINISTERED BY THE WASHINGTON STATE MILITARY DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUPPORTING SOME OF THE CITY OF AUBURN'S LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATIONAL ACTIVITIES. WHEREAS, It is necessary for the City Council of the City of Auburn to amend Ordinance 5215 in order to increase the total funds to be reimbursed for the SLA to $16, 730; and WHEREAS, no change in the service provision, scope of the work, or contract period results from this amendment; and WHEREAS, the city desires to amend the plan and increase the total funds to be reimbursed to $16,730. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Ordinance 5215 is amended to increase the total funds to be reimbursed by $8,558 from $8,172 to $16,730, for the purpose of expenditure and appropriation of amended FEMA grant award funds in an amount not to Ordinance No. 5237 May 5, 1999 Page 1 exceed Sixteen Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty Dollars ($16,730.00) from the State and Local Assistance Program which is administered by the Washington State Military Department for the purpose of supporting some of the City of Auburn's Local Emergency Management organizational activities. Section :2. The Mayor is authorized to amend a contract between the City and the Washington State Military Department, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A", which is incorporated herein by reference. Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law. Paragraph 2. SERVICE PROVISIONS No change in scope of work results from this amendment, Paragraph 3. CONTRACT PERIOD No change in contract period results from this amendment. This amendment shall be read in conjunction with the original contract. Each and every provision of the odginal contract except as amended herein shall remain in full force and effect.
