HomeMy WebLinkAbout5330 ORDINANCE NO. 5 3 3 0 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE 'MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ACCEPT A DONATION OF EIGHT VOLT LIGHTS AND TEN HOLSTERS TO BE USED BY THE AUBURN POLICE DEPARTMENT. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn desires to accept the donation by the Federal Way Police Department, of eight Surefire Sig Saver P226 9MM 3 Volt Lights valued at $1,424.40 and ten Safariland Holsters #6004 for Sig Saver Light Mount valued at $589.50, for use by the Auburn Police Department. WHEREAS, the City of Auburn has determined that such donation is for a public purpose and in the best interest of the City; THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. PURPOSE. The purpose of this Ordinance is to accept the donation by the Federal Way Police Department of eight Surefire Sig Saver P226 9MM 3 Volt Lights valued at $1,424.40 and ten Safariland Holsters #6004 for Sig Saver Light Mount valued at $589.50, for use by the Auburn Police Department in their operations. Section 2. ACCEPTANCE AND AGREEMENT. The City hereby approves the Acceptance of the donations itemized in Section 1 above and Ordinance No. 5330 December 20, 1999 Page ! determines that such acceptance is in the public interest and for the public purpose set forth in Section 1 above. Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this legislation. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) · days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
