HomeMy WebLinkAbout5323 ORDINANCE NO. 5323 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, FOR THE YEAR 2000. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 35A.33, the Mayor of the City of Auburn has heretofore duly completed and placed on file with the City Clerk of the City of Auburn, a preliminary budget for the year 2000, and that notice was thereupon duly published, as required by law, stating that the Mayor had completed and placed on file such preliminary budget and a copy would be furnished to any taxpayer who would call therefor at the office of the City Clerk, and that the City Council of the City of Auburn would meet on November 1, 1999 at 7:30 p.m. for the purpose of fixing the budget and any taxpayer might appear at such time and be heard for or against any part of such budget, and designating the place of such meetings as the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, 25 West Main Street, Auburn, Washington; That the Mayor of the City of Auburn duly provided a suitable number of copies of such detailed preliminary budget to meet the reasonable demands of taxpayers therefore; That the Mayor and the City Council of the City of Auburn duly met at the time designated in said notice in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Ordinance No. 5323 December 6, 1999 Page 1 Hall, 25 West Main Street, City of Auburn, on November 1, 1999 at 7:30 p.m.; That any and all taxpayers of the City of Auburn were given full opportunity to be heard for or against such budget; That the City Council has conducted public hearings on September 7, 1999 and November 1, 1999 to consider this preliminary budget; That at said meetings said budget was considered; and that, at the meeting held by the City Council on the 6th day of December, 1999 the City Council considered modifications of said budget and thereafter approved the 2000 budget for the for the City of Auburn as herein adopted by this Ordinance as follows, to-wit: Ordinance No. 5323 December 6, 1999 Page 2 o o o 8° ooo o oo o - ooo oo8 o oo o 88 ~ ~ ooo8 o wm ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ d~ d ~ ~ w" ~ · -- 0 ~ W 0 0000000000 O0 000 0 O0 0 ~ ~® 8 oooooooo o oo oo o oo o ® 000000 Internal Service Funds: 501 Insurance 2,739,000 125,000 46,000 2,818,000 550 Equipment Rental 2,968,900 2,222,900 2,514,700 2,677,100 Total 2000 Proprietary Funds 23,078,700 35,172,000 45,027,300 13,223,400 Total 2000 For All Funds 54,173,800 103,147,000 119,044,600 38,276,200 Program Improvements: Tier 1, Approved January 1,2000 001 General Fund 534,200 400's Enterprise Funds 0 Total Program Improvements 534,200 Section 2. By approving the Ordinance, the City Council authorizes the unaffiliated employees compensation plan as established pursuant to Auburn City Code 2.88 be increased by three percent for cost of living effective January 2000, and that the City continue to contribute toward health care premiums at the current ratio. Section 3. Implementation. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this legislation. Section 4. Effective Data. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
