AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE 5494 TO INCREASE THE GRANT
FUNDING FROM AN AMOUNT OF THIRTY-SIX THOUSAND FOUR
HUNDRED DOLLARS ($36,400.00), TO PAY FOR 90% OF THE COST IN
PURCHASING A "SUPERUNICOM" TO BE INSTALLED AT AUBURN
MUNICIPAL AIRPORT AND AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF INCREASED
GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED
NINETEEN DOLLARS ($2,519.00) FOR PRICE AND INSTALLATION COSTS
FOR AIRPORT EQUIPMENT. INCREASING THE TOTAL GRANT TO THIRTY
EIGHT THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED NINETEEN DOLLARS ($38,919.00)
FROM THE WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION,
AVIATION DIVISION.
WHEREAS, the Auburn City Council of the City of Auburn must adopt
and approve all appropriations by Ordinance pursuant to chapter 35A.33 RCW;
and
WHEREAS, acceptance of the increased funding from the Washington
Department of Transportation, Division of Aviation for the Auburn Municipal
Airport for the sole purpose of supporting a "superunicom" that will benefit the
Auburn Municipal Airport; and
WHEREAS, The Washington Department Of Transportation,
Division of Aviation is offering Auburn Municipal Airport a grant increase in the
amount of $2,519.00 for a total grant of $38,919.00 to pay for increased price

and installation cost of airport equipment in the purchase of a "superunicom" for
Auburn Municipal Airport.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH
RESOLVES THAT:
Section 1. Purpose.. Pursuant to Chapter 35A.33 RCW the City Council
hereby authorizes the execution of an amendment to Washington Department
Of Transportation, Department Of Aviation grant increase in the amount of Two
Thousand Five Hundred Nineteen Dollars ($2,519.00), and authorizes the total
Grant appropriation from the State Department of Transportation, Department
of Aviation Increasing the Total Grant To Thirty Eight Thousand, Nine Hundred
Nineteen Dollars ($38,919.00) for the City of Auburn Municipal Airport . A copy
of said Airport Grant Increase for the Auburn Municipal Airport is attached
hereto as Exhibit "A" and is incorporated herein.
Section 2. Implementation. The Mayor is hereby authorized to
implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out
the directives of this legislation.
Section 3. Constitutionality or Invalidity. If any section, subsection,
sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid

or unconstitutional, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the
validity or constitutionality of the remaining portions of this Ordinance, as it
being hereby expressly declared that this Ordinance and each section,
subsection, sentence, clause or phrase hereof would have been prepared,
proposed, adopted and approved and ratified irrespective of the fact that any
one or more section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase be declared invalid
or unconstitutional.
Section 4. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as
provided by law.
