ORDINANCE NO. 5946
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING
SECTION 10.36.290 OF THE AUBURN CITY CODE
RELATING TO PROHIBITED PARKING AREAS
WHEREAS, The Auburn City Code currently identifies where vehicles may
be parked and where they are restricted from parking; and
WHEREAS, upon review, it has been determined that the current provisions
could be amended to enhance safely along certain streets in terns of the
allowance of parking in certain area where sight distance may be impaired; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to amend the City Code to provide parking
restrictions for those areas where the review indicates warranted, including "M"
Street Northeast, east side between the south curbline of 8th Street NE and a point
490 feet south of the south curbline of 8th Street NE.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. AMENDMENT TO CITY CODE
That Section 10.36.300 entitled "Prohibited parking areas - Northwest
Auburn." be amended to add the following:
10.36.290 Prohibited parking areas - Northeast Auburn.
Northeast Auburn prohibited parking areas are as follows:
1 st Street Northeast, south side, from the east curbline of Division Street
North to a point 118 feet east of the east curbline of Division Street North.
1 st Street Northeast, south side, between the east curbline of Auburn
Avenue and a point 112 feet east of the east curbline of Auburn Avenue.

1 st Street Northeast, north side, beginning at the west curbline of Auburn
Avenue, thence west to the east curbline of North Division Street.
1 st Street Northeast, north side, between the east curbline of Auburn
Avenue and a point 245 feet east of the east curbline of Auburn Avenue.
3rd Street Northeast, both sides, between the east curbline of North
Division Street to the west curbline of Auburn Avenue.
4th Street Northeast, both sides, between the east curbline of Auburn
Avenue and the west curbline of Auburn Way North.
4th Street Northeast, north side, from the east curbline of Auburn Way
North to a point 100 feet east of the east curbline of Auburn Way North.
4th Street Northeast from its intersection with the centerline of "J" Street
Northeast, north and south sides, westerly 80 feet.
4th Street Northeast from its intersection with the centerline of "J" Street
Northeast, north and south sides, easterly 80 feet.
4th Street Northeast, north side, from the east curbline of "R" Street
Northeast easterly to the east city limits.
7th Street Northeast, north side, from the west curbline of Auburn Way
North to the east curbline of A Street Northeast.
7th Street Northeast, south side, from the west curbline of Auburn Way
North to a point 135 feet west.
8th Street Northeast, both sides, between the east curbline of "K" Street
Northeast and a point east that intersects the city limits with the centerline of 8th
Street Northeast.
14th Street Northeast, north and south sides, beginning at a point where the
centerline of North Division, when extended northerly, intersects 14th Street. From
this point easterly to the west curbline of "A" Street Northeast.
15th Street Northeast, north and south sides, beginning at a point where the
centerline of North Division, when extended northerly, intersects 15th Street. From
this point easterly to the west curbline of Auburn Way North, parking is prohibited.
16th Street Northeast, north and south sides, beginning at a point where the
centerline of North Division, when extended northerly, intersects 16th Street. From
this point easterly to the west curbline of "A" Street Northeast.
16th Street Northeast, both sides, beginning at a point on the east curbline
of "D" Street Northeast to the west curbline of "E" Street Northeast.
22nd Street Northeast, south side, between Auburn Way North and "E"
Street Northeast and along the east side of "E" Street Northeast from 22nd Street
Northeast 350 feet south.
22nd Street Northeast, south side, between "J" Street Northeast and "I"
Street Northeast, except for two parking stalls located 104 feet, and 263 feet from
the west curbline of "J" Street Northeast.
28th Street Northeast, both sides, beginning at the east curbline of Auburn
Way North, thence east for 100 feet.

30th Street Northeast, north and south sides, beginning at a point where the
centerline of North Division, when extended northerly, intersects 30th Street. From
this point easterly to the west curbline of "I" Street Northeast.
37th Street Northeast/Northwest, north and south sides, from the east end
of SR 167 bridge over-crossing to Auburn Way North.
52nd Street Northeast (ASKA - South 277th Street), south side, beginning
at a point on the centerline of "D" Street Northeast, thence easterly a distance of
975 feet.
"A" Street Northeast, east and west sides, beginning at the north curbline of
14th Street Northeast, thence northerly to the south curbline of 16th Street
Northeast.
"B" Street Northeast, west side only, between Main Street and 1 st Street
Northeast.
"C" Street Northeast, both sides, from the north curbline of 30th Street
Northeast to the south curbline of 37th Street Northeast.
"D" Street Northeast, both sides, beginning at a point on the south curbline
of 52nd Street Northeast, thence southerly along the centerline of "D" Street
Northeast to its intersection with the east curbline of Auburn Way North.
"D" Street Northeast, both sides, beginning at a point on the south curbline
of 16th Street Northeast and a point 1,886 feet south, being the south property line
of the city North Fire Station.
"E" Street Northeast, east side, measured north 175 feet from the north
curbline of Main Street.
"E" Street Northeast, east side, measured 200 feet south from the south
curbline of 4th Street Northeast.
"E" Street Northeast, west side, between the south curbline of 4th Street
Northeast and the north side of the first alley south of the south curbline of 4th
Street Northeast.
"E" Street Northeast, east side, between the north curbline of 4th Street
Northeast and the south side of the first alley north of the north curbline of 4th
Street Northeast.
"E" Street Northeast, both sides, beginning at a point on the north curb line
of 16th Street Northeast to the south curbline of 22nd Street Northeast.
"I" Street Northeast, west side, beginning 156 feet south of the south
curbline of 28th Street Northeast, thence southerly a distance of 120 feet.
"J" Street Northeast, both sides, from the northern curb of the cul-de-sac
north of 4th Street Northeast, to a point 125 feet south.
"M" Street Northeast, west side, between the north curbline of East Main
Street and the south curbline of 1 st Street Northeast.
"M" Street Northeast, east side, between the north curbline of East Main
Street and a point 280 feet north of the north curbline of East Main Street.

Street northerly to a point 200 feet north of the north curbline of First Street
Northeast as measured along the centerline of "M" Street Northeast right-of-way.
"M" Street Northeast. east side between the south curbline of 8th Street NE
and a point 490 feet south of the south curbline of 8th Street NE.
"N" Street Northeast, east side, between the north curbline of Main Street
and the south curbline of 2nd Street Northeast.
"0" Street Northeast, east side, between the north curbline of Main Street

Auburn Avenue, both sides, from the north curbline of East Main Street to
the south curbline of 2nd Street Northeast, except one parking stall on the east
side of Auburn Avenue immediately north of east-west crosswalk which is located
on the north side of East Main Street, and two parking stalls immediately north of
the alley located 120 feet south of the south curbline of 2nd Street Northeast.
Auburn Avenue, west side, between the north curbline of 2nd Street
Northeast and the south curbline of 5th Street Northeast.
Auburn Avenue, east side, between 3rd Street Northeast and 4th Street
Northeast.
Auburn Way North, west side, between the north curbline of Main Street
and a point 173 feet north of the south curbline of 40th Street Northeast extended.
Auburn Way North, east side, between the north curbline of 2nd Street
Northeast and the south curbline of 40th Street Northeast.
Auburn Way North, 30th Street Northeast, north curbline to 37th Street
Northeast south curbline, both sides.
East Main Street, north side, between the east curbline of Auburn Way
North and the west curbline of "D" Street Northeast.
East Main Street, north side, beginning at the east curbline of "F" Street
Southeast and continuing east a distance of 55 feet.
Harvey Road Northeast, both sides, between the west curbline of Auburn
Way North and the north curbline of 6th Street Northeast.
Section 2. IMPLEMENTATION.
The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative
procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation.

Section 3. GENERAL SEVERABILITY.
If any portion of this Ordinance or its application to any person or
circumstances is held invalid, the remainder of the Ordinance or the application of
the provision to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected.
Section 4. EFFECTIVE DATE.
That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effective five (5) days from and
after its passage, approval, and publication, as provided by law.
