WHEREAS, there will be constructed a relocated Peasley-Canyon Road beginning at
,the King County-Auburn City Limits Line; thence easterly along the south side of new
SR 181 to the West Va11ey Highway (SR 181), atl in the SW4 of the SE4 of Section 14,
7. 21N., R. 4E, W. M,, and
WHEREAS, there will be constructed a rearranged West Valley Highway (SR 181),
beginning at the intersection of SR 181 and the relocated peasley Canyon Road, in the
SW'r+ of the SE4 of Section 14; thence southerly (1,430) one thousand faur hundred and
_ thtrt_y-fe-_~in the NWI; of the W. A1., and ~
WHEREAS, the said relocated 15th Street S. W. relocafied West Main Street, re-
lacated 15th Street N. W. cul-de-sacs, relocated 37th Street N. W„ extended Ctay
Street, re}ocated Peasley-Canyon Road, and rearranged West Valley Highway (SR 181),
wiil be constructed with the plan as shown on the right of way plans, SR 167, MP 6.62
to MP 10,38, Auburn: 17th 5treet S. W. to South 285th Street, sheets 3, 5, 71 9,
10, 11, 12 and 14 of 30 which by this reference shalt be made a part of this agreement, and
WHEREAS, the said streets, cul-de-sacs and highway witl be constructed in accordance
with the contract plans, specifications and detailed drawings therein, within the limits
of the above referenced revised right of way ptans. It is desirable to describe the
responsibility of the State and the City in the maintenance of these roadways.

and maintenance of City Streets over and under crossings and surface intersections of the
limited access facilities shall be in accordance with the governing policy entered into
between the State Nighway Commission and the Association of Washington Cities".

The City agrees to perform all maintenance, repair, or reconstruction of the before
mentioned streets, cul-de-sacs, and highways, including rights of way, as shown in red on
the attached "EXHIBI7 A", sheets l through g.

The City agrees to protect the control of access, as indicated by the "Nachured
line" on the above referenced revised right of way plans and on the attached "EXhibit A",
between the State right of way and the City streets and in the vicinity of the Roadway
Intersections. '

The State agrees to convey to the City by Governorts Deed said rearranged roadways

mentioned right of way plans upon comptetion of construction and acceptance by the City

- The City agrees to accept these said rearranged roadways and cul-de-sacs as herein-
b,efore described as City 5treets and further agrees to relieve the Stafie from all re-
sponsibility in the operation of this roadway as a public thoroughfare upon completion
of construction, in conformance with the contract plans, specifications, and detailed
drawings therein.

It is proved and agreed that no liability shall attach to the State by reason of
entering into this agreement except as expressTy provided herein. .
