RESOLUTION NO. 2 5 0 3
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE LAKELAND HILLS PLAN ELEMENT TO THE
CITY OF AUBURN COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND DIRECTING THAT THIS
RESOLUTION BE FILED WITH THE AUBURN CITY CLERK AND BE
AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC INSPECTION.
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the City of Auburn
Comprehensive Plan on August 18, 1986 pursuant to Resolution
No. 1703; and
WHEREAS, on April 18, 1988 the City Council adopted the
Lakeland Hills Plan pursuant to Resolution No. 1851; and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary to amend the Lakeland Hills
Plan, Policy LH-2.5, adopted by the City Council on April 18,
1988 as authorized by Resolution No. 1851; and
WHEREAS, the proposed amendment to the City of Auburn
Comprehensive Plan was transmitted to the Auburn Planning
Commission, and after proper notice, a public meeting was held
on February 28, 1994, wherein the Planning Commission
conducted a public hearing on the proposed amendment;
WHEREAS, at said hearing the Planning Commission heard
public testimony, received evidence and exhibits, reviewed the
proposed amendment, and thereafter recommended that the City
Council approve the proposed amendment to the City of Auburn
Comprehensive Plan to amend Policy No. LH-2.5; and

WHEREAS, on March 7, 1994 the City Council conducted a
public hearing wherein the Council heard public testimony,
received evidence and exhibits and reviewed the Planning
Commission's recommendation, at the conclusion of which, the
City Council referred this item to the Planning and Community
Development Committee for study and review; and
WHEREAS, on March 14, 1994, the Planning and Community
Development Committee reviewed the amendment and recommended
approval of the amendment and referred this item back to the
City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, at a special meeting held
March 15, 1994, approved the amendment to the Comprehensive
plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH
RESOLVES THAT:
Section 1. Policy LH-2.5 of Lakeland Hills Plan adopted
on August 10, 1988 pursuant to Resolution No. 1851 is hereby
amended as designated in Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein
as if set out it full.
Section 2. The amendment referenced above is adopted and
approved in accordance with Chapter 35A.63 RCW as an element
of the City of Auburn Comprehensive Plan and it is directed

that it be filed along with this Resolution with the Auburn
City Clerk and be made available for .public inspection.
Section 3. The amendment referenced above is herewith
designated as a basis for the exercise of substantive
authority under the Washington State Environmental Policy Act
rules in accordance with RCW. 43.21C.060.
Section 4. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement
such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry
out the directives of this legislation.

LH-2.5 Park land to be dedicated shall be consistent with
the Lakeland Hills Plan Map and Plan. policies (the
Plan Map does not show the location of all park land
since some options exist for park land location, as
described below). The following dedications shall be
considered to be the minimum required to serve the
