RESOLUTION NO, 2 6 9 ~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2602 PASSED JANUARY 17,
1995, AND DESIGNATING THE MEMBERS, POWERS, DUTIES AND MEETING
TIMES AND DAYS OF ALL STANDING COMMITTEES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF AUBURN.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, IN A
REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Sectio~ 1. Auburn Resolution No. 2602 dated January 17,
1995, is hereby repealed.
Section Z. The Standing Committees of the City Council
for the City of Auburn, Washington for the year 1996 are as
follows:

(Vice Chair), and FRED POE (member).
Makes recommendations to the City
Council as a whole on policies
relating to utilities, storm
drainage, streets and policy matters
involving construction and private
building inspection. This Committee
will coordinate equipment rental
matters with the Finance Committee.
JEANNE BARBER (Chair), STACEY
BROTHERS (Vice Chair), and FRED POE
(member).
In addition to the normal monitoring
of the financial expenditures of the
approved budget, this Committee will

relating to personnel, municipal
court and legal.

SCOPE:
Makes recommendations to the City
Council as a whole on policies
relating to land use planning,
zoning, annexation, human services,
parks and recreation, arts, museum,
library, senior center cemetery,
airport and golf course.

SCOPE:
Makes recommendations to the City
Council as a whole on policies
relating to police and fire,
jurisdiction of all public buildings
for the maintenance and construction
(exclusive of utility buildings),
emergency planning, cable T.V., and
solid waste.

Section 3. The Council Committee Chairman shall call
meetings and chair said meetings and cause minutes of said
meetings to be available in a timely fashion and shall
schedule at least one meeting per month. It shall be the
discretionary power of the Chairman of each Committee to

require any appointive or salaried City employee to attend
Committee meetings.
Section 4. Unless otherwise designated by the Chairman,
the day and time of the meetings of the Standing Committees of
the City Council of the City of Auburn shall be as follows:
A.PUBLIC WORKS:
5:30 P.M.
Second and fourth Mondays of each month.
B.FINi%NCE:
7:00 P.M.
First and third Mondays of each month.
C.PLANNING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT~
7:30 P.M.
Second and fourth Mondays of each month.
D. MUNICIPI%L SERVICES:
4:30 P.M.
First and third Mondays of each month.
Section 5. The Mayor Pro Tem shall serve as an ex
officio of all standing Committees of the City Council. As
Mayor Pro Tem, Councilmember Barber will serve as an alternate
to all Council Committees.
Section 6. The Mayor is
such administrative procedures
hereby authorized to implement
as may be necessary to carry
out the directives of this legislation.
