HomeMy WebLinkAbout3006 ] RESOLUTION NO. 3 0 0 6 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, 3 WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED TRANSPERRING PROPERTY FROM THE CITY OF AUBURN 4 STORM DRAINAGE UTILITY TO THE CITY OF AUBURN FOR PUBLIC STREET AND UTILITY PURPOSES FOR PROJECT C8016, KNOWN AS 8T~ ST. NE- 5 AUBURN WAY NORTH TO "K" ST.-12 INCH WATERLINE AND PEDESTRIAN TRAIL. 7 WHEREAS, the City Council Public Works Committee directed 8 the purchase of the property hereinafter set forth on Exhibit A in lieu of granting an easement to Puget Sound Energy (PSE); 10 and 11 WHEREAS, PSE was requested to move four (4) poles along the South side of 8th Street between ~I" St. and ~K" Street to 13 accommodate the lane shift to the South necessitated by the waterline and pedestrian trail construction; and 15 WHEREAS, this tract also represents the ultimate right- of-way needed for possible future improvements to this 17 corridor; and 18 WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted in project C8016 for costs associated with this transfer in the amount of 20 $7,035.00. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, 22 WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH RESOLVES THAT: 24 25 28 Res0|u~on No. 3006 September 28, 1998 P~e 1 1 Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Auburn are herewith authorized to execute a Quit Claim Deed transferring property from the City of Auburn Storm Drainage 4 Utility to the City of Auburn for public street and utility 5 purposes for Project C8016, known as 8T~ Street NE-Auburn Way 6 North to "K" Street 12 inch waterline and pedestrian trail. 7 A copy of said Deed is attached hereto and denominated as 8 Exhibit "1" and incorporated by reference in this Resolution. 9 Section 2.
