A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, TO EXECUTE A
COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY WHICH
ALLOWS THE CITY TO PURCHASE VARIOUS MEDICAL SUPPLIES AND
EQUIPMENT USING KING COUNTY'S COMPETITIVELY AWARDED
CONTRACT.
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn Fire Department participates in an
interlocal agreement to provide and receive mutual aid for fire services,
including emergency medical services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn Fire Department emergency medical
services uses medical supplies and equipment similar to and compatible with
other fire agencies; and
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn Fire Department wishes to purchase
these medical supplies and equipment as part of a group purchase to take
advantage of lower prices; and
WHEREAS, THE City of Auburn Fire Department wishes to join thirty-
three other fire and emergency medical responder agencies participating in this
Regional Purchasing Program to capitalize on the power of group purchasing of
medical supplies and equipment from a single vendor.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, IN A
REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREBY RESOLVES THAT:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Auburn,
Washington, are hereby authorized to execute a Cooperative Purchasing
Agreement with King County which allows the City to purchase various medical
supplies and equipment using King County's competitively awarded contract. A
copy of said Agreement is attached hereto, denominated as Exhibit 'T' and
made a part hereof as though set forth in full herein.
Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such
administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of
this legislation.
