A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. I TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY
AND VADIS NORTHWEST FOR THE LITTER CONTROL PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City entered into a Contract with Vadis Northwest on
February 7, 2000, which identified a Litter Control Program; and
VVHEREAS, the Litter Control Program Scope of Work must be
expanded to include the newly-annexed area of Lea Hill;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH
RESOLVES THAT:
SECTION '1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Auburn,
Washington, are herewith authorized to execute Amendment No. 1 to the
Contract between the City of Auburn and Vadis Northwest, modifying the Scope
of Work to include the newly-annexed area of Lea Hill. A copy of said
Amendment is attached hereto and denominated as Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such
administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of
this legislation.

All provisions in the basic agreement and all previous amendments remain in effect except as
expressly modified by this supplement.
The changes to the agreement are described as follows:
1. CONTRACT TERM: The term of the Agreement for the Litter Control Program has no
change. The service described under Scope or Work is to begin June 1,2000.
2. SCOPE OF WORK: Vadis Northwest will pick up litter in the newly annexed area of
Lea Hill on a schedule of one day per week. Work hours at the City of Auburn will
increase to 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. One supervisor and five
workers will pick up litter for an additional hour each Monday through Friday.
3. COMPENSATION: Compensation will be based on an additional hour of labor per day
on a 21 days a month work schedule with five people, the additional hourly benefits,
mileage, gas, vehicle maintenance, and insurance. The amount of this amendment is
$9,450.00. The total contract amount is increased to a total of $67,870.56.
