HomeMy WebLinkAbout3269 RESOLUTION NO. 3 2 6 9 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PURSUANT TO THE SOUTH KING COUNTY REGIONAL WATER ASSOCIATION'S REVISED BYLAWS, NOMINATING THE CITY ENGINEER AS A DIRECTOR, THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR AS FIRST ALTERNATE, AND THE WATER UTILITY ENGINEER AS SECOND ALTERNATE TO REPRESENT AUBURN'S CONCERNS AND iSSUES AT THE REGULAR MONTHLY AND ANNUAL MEETINGS OF THE SOUTH KING COUNTY REGIONAL WATER ASSOCIATION. WHEREAS, the City of Auburn as a governmental body providing water service in South King County is a member of the South King County Regional Water Association; and WHEREAS, the revised bylaws of the South King County Regional Water Association state that each regular member shall be entitled to nominate one Director and two Alternate Directors for approval and election by membership; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the interest of the City of Auburn to be represented by a Director at said South King County Regional Water Association; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to nominate the City Engineer as a Director, the Public Works Director as First Alternate Director, and the Water Utility Engineer as Second Alternate Director; Resolution No. 3269 October 9, 2000 Page 1 NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City of Auburn City Engineer is hereby designated as a Director, the Public Works Director is hereby designated as the First Alternate Director, and the Water Utility Engineer is hereby designated as the Second Alternate Director to the South King County Regional Water Association. Section 2. A conformed copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the South King County Regional Water Association in care of Don Wright, Administrator, 27224 144th Ave SE, Kent, WA 98042. Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation. CITY OF AUBURN CHARLES A.
