A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF AUBURN (CITY) AND
DLR GROUP FOR CONSULTING SERVICES TO STUDY THE COMMUNITY
NEEDS FOR A PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING.
WHEREAS, the Auburn City Council has determined that the community
needs expanded facilities that would be housed in a Public Safety Building; and
WHEREAS, there are a large number of options as to location, size and
scope of building, potential to reuse existing facilities, operational options and
cost factors, the City Council has determined that the services of a consultant
team are required to advise the City, and
WHEREAS, said Public Safety Building would require public support for
a voted bond issue resulting in the need for a public involvement program and a
detailed analysis of construction and operating costs, and
WHEREAS, the City issued a Request for Proposals for which twelve
firms were evaluated, and
WHEREAS, a panel comprised of the Mayor, a Council representative
and City management staff interviewed four firms and selected DLR Group as
the finalist, and

WHEREAS, a contract has been prepared to cover the required work.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY
ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH RESOLVES THAT:
Section 1. The Mayor of the City of Aubum is herewith authorized to
execute an Agreement between the City of Auburn and DLR Group for
consulting services. A copy of said Agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit "A"
and incorporated herein by this reference.
Section2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such
administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of
this legislation.
