A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE AN UNDERGROUND CONVERSION AGREEMENT LETTER WITH
PUGET SOUND ENERGY TO REPLACE OVERHEAD POLE LINE WITH AN
UNDERGROUND SYSTEM ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE NEW SENIOR
CENTER.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, KING COUNTY,
WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH
RESOLVES THAT:
Section '1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Auburn are herewith
authorized to execute an Underground Conversion Agreement with PUGET
SOUND ENERGY (PSE) to replace the overhead pole line along the south side
of the Senior Center with an underground system. A copy of said Agreement is
attached hereto and denominated as Exhibit "A" and incorporated by reference
in this Resolution.
Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such
administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of
this legislation.

RE: PUGET SOUND ENERGY AGREEMENT LETTER

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) engineering has been completed for this project, and the cost
estimate is calculated to be $25.051.
The estimate is based on the following:
· PSE work will replace the overhead poleline along the south side of the Senior Center
with an underground system.
· All trenching, backfilling, and restoration will be the responsibility of the City of
Auburn and shall be done according to PSE construction standards which have been
provided to Steele Corporation.
· The City of Auburn has elected to provide and install primary conduit and pad-
mounted transformer vault. All other material and construction labor will be provided
by PSE.
· A credit was allowed for existing pole-mounted transformers at full value of $:l,102.
· PSE will bill the City for the above amounts unless actual costs should differ by 10%
or more, in which case the City will be credited or billed the appropriate amount.
