HomeMy WebLinkAbout3326RESOLUTION NO. 3 3 2 6 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, REPEALING RESOLUTIONS 3238 AND 3297 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF AUBURN AND THE CITIES OF KENT, RENTON AND TUKWILA FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF A COMBINED REGIONAL VALLEY SPECIAL RESPONSE TEAM. WHEREAS, RCW 10.93 and RCW 39.34 authorizes public agencies to enter into interlocal agreements; and WHEREAS, the parties desire to establish and maintain a multi- jurisdictional Valley Special Response Team (SWAT Team). THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH RESOLVES THAT: Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Auburn are herewith authorized to execute an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement between the Cities of Auburn, Kent, Renton and Tukwila to establish a multi- jurisdictional Valley Special Response Team (SWAT Team). A copy of said Interlocal Cooperative Agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and is incorporated herein by this reference as though set forth in full. Resolution No. 3326 February 27, 2001 Page 1 Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation.
