A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF AUBURN
(CITY), AND TRANSYSTEMS CORPORATION CONSULTANTS
FOR THE PURPOSE OF PREPARING A PARKING
MANAGEMENT STRATEGY FOR DOWNTOWN AUBURN.
WHEREAS, Ordinance 5597 of the City Council approved an agreement
between the Puget Sound Regional Council and the City (Contract #2002-02)
that provides compensation and reimbursement to the City in an amount not to
exceed twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) for the purpose of hiring a
consultant to prepare a parking management strategy for downtown Auburn.
WHEREAS, the City issued a Request for Qualifications for which two
firms were evaluated, and
WHEREAS, a panel comprised of City management staff interviewed two
firms and selected Transystems Corporation Consultants as the finalist, and
WHEREAS, a contract has been drafted to cover the required work.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY
ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH RESOLVES THAT:

Section 1. The Mayor of the City of Auburn is herewith authorized to
execute an Agreement between the City of Auburn and Transystems
Corporation Consultants for consulting services. A copy of said
Agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by
this reference.
Section 2, The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such
administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the
directives of this legislation. ~_77,,~'
