A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT
APPROVED BY RESOLUTION NO. 3290 ADOPTED NOVEMBER 20, 2000,
AND AMENDED BY RESOLUTION NO. 3337 ADOPTED MARCH 19, 2001,
AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT FOR HOUSING OF INMATES IN THE
YAKIMA COUNTY JAIL TO INCORPORATE ADJUSTMENTS IN THE
AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the Auburn City Council held
November 20, 2000, the Council adopted Resolution No. 3290 authorizing the
execution of an agreement for housing of inmates in the Yakima County Jail
between the City of Auburn and Yakima County; and
WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the Auburn City Council held April 2,
2001, the Council adopted Resolution No. 3337 authorizing an amendment to
the agreement for housing of inmates in the Yakima County Jail for the purpose
of incorporating adjustments in the agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is of interest to the City of Auburn to amend the
agreement between the City of Auburn and Yakima County Jail for the purpose
of renewing the agreement for the year 2002.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

Section '1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Auburn are hereby
authorized to execute an amendment to the agreement for the housing of
inmates in the Yakima County Jail, which is attached hereto and marked as
Exhibit "A" and by this reference incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such
administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of
this legislation.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
CITY OF AUBURN/YAKIMA COUNTY/AMENDMENT
This CONTRACT AMENDMENT is made and entered into between the City of Auburn, a
municipal corporation, with its principal offices at 25 West Main, Auburn, WA 98001, hereinafter referred
to as the CITY, and YAKIMA COUNTY, located at 128 N. Second Street, Yakima, WA 98901,
hereinafter CONTRACTOR:
In consideration of the mutual benefits and covenants contained herein, the parties agree that
their Contract executed on November 14, 2000 shall be amended as follows:
1. Section 5(a): COMPENSATION (RATES) shall be amended effective January 1, 2002 through
December 31, 2002 to read as follows:

Section 13: REMOVAL FROM THE JAIL shall be amended effective January 1, 2002
through December 31, 2002 to read as follows. The following clause is added to the beginning
of this section 13: "Except for eligible inmates for correctional work details and under the
direct supervision of a corrections officer..."
