A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING ISSUANCE OF A
CONSTRUCTION PERMIT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO ENTER INTO A TEMPORARY USE AGREEMENT WITH
BRUCE D. ALVERSON AND JILL B. ALVERSON TO MAKE
IMPROVEMENTS TO CERTAIN PARKING AREAS WITHIN THE
CITY.
WHEREAS, in connection with the City's "Clean Sweep" Project, certain
businesses and persons within the City are coordinating in an effort to clean up the
downtown and improve the presentation of the downtown areas of the City of Auburn;
and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with the Clean Sweep Project, Bruce D. Alverson
and Jill B. Alverson, owners and operators ofthe Sunbreak Café, located at the comer
of 1st Street SW and A Street SW, have offered to pave and restrip at their own
expense, the public parking area adjacent to their property, generally described as the
parking lot at the comer of 1st Street SW and South Division Street, in the City of
Auburn, and as more particularly shown on the attachment "A" appended hereto; and
WHEREAS, because the paving and restriping would require a temporary
closure of the parking lot, it is appropriate that a Resolution approved by the City
Council be passed, authorizing such use in the City right-of-way.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:

Section 1.
That the Mayor is authorized and directed to issue a Construction
Permit and Temporary Use Agreement with Bruce D. Alverson and Jill B. Alverson to
have the paving and stripping work done as a City Construction Permit Project without
the requirement that Bruce D. Alverson and Jill B. Alverson be required to pay for any
permits or related costs, in connection with the paving and restripping of the parking lot
area shown on the attachment "A".
Section 2.
The Mayor is further authorized to take such other and further
steps as would be appropriate a to carry out the directives of this legislation.
Section 3.
That this resolution shall be in full force and affect upon passage
and signatures hereon.
