A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A RENEWAL OF COMMUTE TRIP REDUCTION
ACT INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY.
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn executed a Commute Trip Reduction Act
Interlocal Agreement with King County Department of Transportation as
authorized by Resolution No. 3447, which was adopted on April 1,2002; and
WHEREAS, the agreement authorized by Resolution No. 3447 expired
on June 30, 2002, and
WHEREAS, for the purposes set forth in the Act, and as contemplated in
the prior agreement, it is in the public interest for the parties herein to enter into
a renewal of the Commute Trip Reduction Act Interlocal Agreement, with a new
term of the agreement extending to June 30, 2003.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH
RESOLVES THAT:
Section 1. Pursuant to RCW 39.34, the Interlocal Cooperation Act,
Auburn and King County have legal authority to cooperate with other localities
on the basis of mutual advantage and provision of services.
Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Auburn is herewith authorized to
execute the Renewal of Commute Trip Reduction Act Interlocal Agreement,
Resolution No. 3513

denominated as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof as though set forth in full
herein,
Section3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such
administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of
this legislation.
Section 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect upon
passage and signatures hereon.
