HomeMy WebLinkAbout3519 RESOLUTION NO. 3 5 i 9 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, FIXING 7:30 P.M. ON SEPTEMBER 16, 2002, AS THE TIME AND DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL ON THE 2003-2008 SIX-YEAR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM. WHEREAS, RCW 35.77.010 requires that the City of Auburn annually prepare and adopt a comprehensive transportation improvement program for each ensuing six calendar years; and WHEREAS, RCW 35.77.010 requires the City Council to annually conduct a public hearing to review the work accomplished under each Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program, to determine current City street needs, and to adopt a revised and extended comprehensive transportation improvement program. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section i. PURPOSE. The purpose of this Resolution is for the City Council to set a time and date for a public hearing on the 2003-2008 Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program, to review the work accomplished under the program, and to determine current City street needs. Resolution No. 3519 August 27, 2002 Page 1 Section 2. NOTICE OF HEARING. The Council hereby directs that a notice specifying the time and place of the public hearing shall be published one time in a newspaper of general cimulation and the notice shall also be posted in three public places. Such public notice shall precede the public hearing by at least 10 days. Section 3. DATE OF HEARING. Pursuant to the requirements of State law, a public hearing on said 2003-2008 Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program will be held on the 16th day of September, 2002, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall before the City Council. All persons interested in said Six-Year Transportation improvement Program may attend and testify at said hearing. Section 4. AUTHORITY. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation. Section 5.
