A RESOLUTION OF THE AUBURN CITY COUNCIL APPROVING THE 2003
BUDGET OF THE AUBURN DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION AND
PROVIDING FOR OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO.
WHEREAS, there exists in the City of Auburn a downtown Auburn Business
Improvement Area, and
WHEREAS there exists between the City of Auburn and the Auburn Downtown
Association a contract enabling the Auburn Downtown Association to provide services in the
Business Improvement Area, and
WHEREAS, the provision of such services includes compensation received from the
City through the Business Improvement area budget and revenues; and
WHEREAS, the project as described is thought to be consistent with the laws,
ordinances and policies of the State of Washington and the City of Auburn,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Auburn hereby affirmatively approves
the 2003 budget of the Auburn Downtown Association in the amount of $80,000 as proposed
to the City and approved by the Business Improvement Area ratepayers. A copy of the 2003
Auburn Downtown Association Budget is attached hereto, denominated as Exhibit "A" and
made a part hereof as though set forth in full herein.

Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative
procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation.
