HomeMy WebLinkAbout3440RESOLUTION NO. 3 4 4 0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A SEATTLE- KING COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ON THE LOCAL HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM FOR 2002 ACTIVITIES. WHEREAS, the Seattle King-County Department of Public Heaith has agreed to reimburse the amount of $8,550 to the City of Auburn for the City's Local Hazardous Waste Management Program; and WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding on the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program for 2002 Activities specifies the administrative procedures and monetary reimbursement regarding implementation of the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program; and WHEREAS, the Auburn City Council of the City of Auburn must adopt and approve all appropriations by Ordinance pursuant to Chapter 35A.33 RCW. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Auburn are authorized to execute a Memorandum of Understanding on the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program for 2002 Activities. A copy of said Resolution No. 3440 March 11, 2002 Page 1 Memorandum is attached hereto and designated Exhibit "I" and incorporated by reference herein. Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this legislation, including providing for the expenditure and appropriation therefore in appropriate budget documents. Heid, City Attorney Resolution No. 3440 March 11, 2002 Page 2 EXHIBIT I D22049D MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ON THE LOCAL HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM FOR 2002 ACTIVITIES This Memorandum of Understanding between the Seattle-King County Department of Public Health ("Department") and the City of Auburn ("City") specifies the administrative procedures and monetary reimbursement regarding implementation of the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program. Scope of Work The City of Auburn will distribute safe cleaning kits and monitor citizen response. The City will also provide other educational materials, including IPM education to residents. Reportiniz Requirements The City shall submit progress reports to the Department with each payment request. Payment requests, using the attached form, must be submitted within 60 days after the completion of each project involved. In addition, the City shall provide a certificate of disposal for all wastes disposed as a result of this Agreement, in accordance with the original Agreement, Section 11.1.
