A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE THE WEST VALLEY HIGHWAY PROJECT TRANSPORTATION
IMPROVEMENT BOARD PROGRAM PROJECT FUNDING STATUS FORM.
WHEREAS, West Valley Highway is listed in the City of Auburn's 6-year
Transportation Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn applied for and was awarded grant
funding from the Transportation Improvement Board for the West Valley
Highway Project; and
WHEREAS, the City now desires to design and construct the West
Valley Highway Project; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Program Project Funding Status form is
to certify a commitment from the City of Auburn to ensure $300,000 of local
funds will be a match for the $1,200,000 grant from the Transportation
Improvement Board; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is committed to amending the 2003 budget
to fund the $300,000 City match that is required for the grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH
RESOLVES THAT:

Section 1. The Mayor and Finance Director of the City of Aubum are
herewith authorized to execute the Program Project Funding Status form. A
copy of said Status form is attached hereto, denominated as Exhibit "A" and
made a part hereof as though set forth in full herein.
Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such
administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of
this legislation.
