HomeMy WebLinkAbout3773 RESOLUTION NO. 3773 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE CITY OF AUBURN FEE SCHEDULE RELATING TO BUILDING PERMIT FEES WHEREAS, the City of Auburn is engaged in various municipal functions, and ( the City provides various public services, a number of which entail fees; and WHEREAS, in order to provide for such fees, the City Council adopted its Ordinance No. 5707, providing for the initial fee schedule and authorizing amendments to it through Resolution; and WHEREAS, the City of Auburn Fee Schedule was thereafter amended by Ordinance Numbers 5715,5763,5791 and 5819 and Resolution Number 3685; and WHEREAS, in the course of reviewing City fees, including those that were among the changes provided in Resolution No. 3685, it was determined that it is necessary to add additional building code fees to the City of Auburn Fee Schedule; and, WHEREAS, in keeping with the philosophy of setting fees in amounts reflective of actual costs, it is appropriate to revise and amend the fees and charges for City permits and actions and facility extensions, specifically dealing with building code fees. NOW THEREFORE, and pursuant to the authority granted in Ordinance No. 5707, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES as follows: Section 1. This cost shall include supervision. overhead. equipment. hourly wages and fringe benefits of all the emplovees involved. Fire Code Permit Fees The fee for each activity reauirinq a permit issued under the provisions the International Fire Code Section 105.6 shall be as set at $56.00 per hour with a minimum charqe of $56.00. There shall be no charqe imposed for routine annual fire prevention inspections. Fees Permit fees shall be assessed in accordance with this section. Fees specified shall be adjusted for inflation each year based upon the Seattle Consumer Price Index. Fees shall be rounded down to nearest whole dollar. Appeal Fees The fee for appeals of codes adopted pursuant to ACC chapter 15 shall be $100.00. Exhibit A, Resolution No. 3773 City of Auburn Fee Schedule Page 4 Plan Review Fees When submitted documents are required bv section 106.3 of the Construction Administrative Code, a plan review fee shall be paid at the time of submittinq the submittal documents for plan review. Said plan review fee shall be 65 percent of the buildinq permit fee as shown in Table 1-Ä. The plan review fees specified in this section are separate fees from the permit fees and in addition to permit fees. Temporary Certificate of Occupancy Fees. There shall be a fee equal to ten percent of the buildinq permit fee for issuance of a temporary certificate of occupancy. Fee schedule for administrative procedures and miscellaneous inspections. In addition to any other fees specified in this chapter, there shall be a fee schedule for certain administrative procedures not otherwise included as set forth in the followinq schedule of fees: Demolition, permit and inspections Relocation (preinspection) Housinq inspection Chanqe of use Fire sprinklers, first 10 heads Fire sprinklers, additional heads Fire alarm systems, first 10 devices Fire alarm systems, additional devices Per Table 1-A Per Table 1-A Actual city cost. minimum $20.00 Per Table 1-A $150.00 $0.75 each $150.00 $5.00 each Exhibit A, Resolution No. 3773 City of Auburn Fee Schedule Page 5 That the fees in the City of Auburn Fee Schedule for building permits (section C of the Fee Schedule) shall be amended as set forth on the partial fee schedule attached hereto, marked as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this reference, and the City Clerk is directed to include and incorporate such amended fees in the City of Auburn Fee Schedule, consistent herewith. Section 2. GENERAL SEVERABILITY. That if any provision of this Resolution or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held to be invalid, the remainder thereof or the application thereof to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected. Section 3. IMPLEMENTATION. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation. Section 4. EFFECTIVE DATE.
