A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, ACCEPTING A
STREET CLOCK FROM KEN NELSON OF
NELSON'S JEWELRY
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn includes a variety of citizens, businesses
and entities all participating in various aspects of activities within the city; and
WHEREAS, in the City of Auburn there exists a positive sense of
cooperation among the citizens, businesses and entities, contributing to the
"home-town" feel of the City of Auburn; and
WHEREAS, the partnership of participants in the City of Auburn can be
demonstrated no more visibly than where donations are made to the City which
benefit the City as a whole; and
WHEREAS, such a donation to the City was made by Ken Nelson of
Nelson's Jewelry, for a two-faced street clock, to be located at the northeast
corner of the intersection of West Main Street and Auburn Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:
1. That the donation of two-faced street clock (similar to the clock
depicted and described herein below) by Ken Nelson of Nelson's Jewelry, to the
City of Auburn is accepted and the City Council hereby expresses its gratitude for
the generosity demonstrated by this gift, and the community-minded spirit of the
donor.
