RESOLUTION NO.3 8 01
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
AWARD NEIGHBORHOOD MATCHING GRANTS FOR
APPROVED CITY PROGRAMS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn appropriated funds in its
Year 2005 General Fund budget for the purpose of Neighborhood Matching Grants;
and
WHEREAS, the City's Department of Planning and Community Development
received several proposed grants from prospective applicants; and
WHEREAS, among those grant applications were projects for the Game
Farm Park Wilderness Park Disc Golf and the Bully Prevention Program; and
WHEREAS, the applications were reviewed by City staff and the City of
Auburn's Human Services Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Human Services Committee forwarded its recommendation
for funding for these programs to the Mayor of Auburn who, in turn, is submitting it to
the City Council for its review and approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF AUBURN, KING COUNTY,
WASHINGTIN, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Purpose. The City Council hereby authorizes the award of
Neighborhood Matching Grants for the Game Farm Wilderness Park Disc Golf
project in the amount of $5,000 and the Bully Prevention Program in the amount of
$3,600 in accordance with the applications therefor, as set forth in Exhibits #1 and
#2 respectively, attached hereto and incorporated into this Resolution.

Section 2. Implementation. The Mayor of the City of Auburn is hereby
authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to
carry out the directives of this legislation.
Section 3. Effective date. That this Resolution shall be in full force upon
passage and signatures hereon.
