A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE CITY OF AUBURN
FEE SCHEDULE FOR CITY OF AUBURN FEES FOR 2005,
CORRECTING THE FEE SCHEDULE FOR BUILDING
PERMITS
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn is engaged in various municipal functions, and
the City provides various public services, a number of which entail fees; and.
WHEREAS, in order to provide for such fees, the City Council adopted its
Ordinance No. 5707, providing for the initial fee schedule and authorizing amendments
to it through Resolution; and
WHEREAS, in the course of reviewing City fees, and in keeping with the City's
policy of setting fees in amounts so as to cover City costs, it was deemed appropriate to
revise and amend the fees for the City of Auburn, effective in 2005; and
WHEREAS, When the City's fee schedule was most recently amended in
Resolution No. 3797, it did not factor in the multiplier effect of some dependent fees, so
that the resulting fees could be inconsistent among themselves, depending on the
valuation of permit activity;
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to amend the fee schedule to accommodate the
inter-tie between fees that build on a set base, depending on increases in valuation.
NOW THEREFORE, and pursuant to the authority granted in Ordinance No.
5707, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, HEREBY
RESOLVES as follows:

Section 1.
AMENDMENT TO CITY FEE SCHEDULE.
Effective
¡--0./; 7, 2005, the City of Auburn Fee Schedule is amended as set forth in the
schedule attached hereto, marked as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this
reference. Other than the changes to the fee schedule for Table 1-A BUILDING
PERMIT FEES, as set forth in said Exhibit "A," all other fees on the City of Auburn Fee
Schedule shall remain unchanged and in full force and effect.
Section 2. GENERAL SEVERABILITY. If any provision of this Resolution or
the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held to be invalid, the
remainder thereof or the application thereof to other persons or circumstances shall not
be affected.
Section 3. IMPLEMENTATION. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such
administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this
leg islation.
Section 4. EFFECTIVE DATE. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect

The fee for each International Building Code, International Residential Code,
Washington State Energy Code or Washington State Indoor Air Quality Code building
permit shall be as set forth in Table 1-A, below.
