A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING APPLICATION
FOR FUNDING ASSISTANCE FOR A WASHINGTON
WILDLIFE AND RECREATION PROGRAM (WWRP)
PROJECT (AUBURN ENVIRONMENTAL WETLAND
MITIGATION BANK) TO THE INTERAGENCY COMMITTEE
FOR OUTDOOR RECREATION (lAC) AS PROVIDED IN
CHAPTER 79A.15 RCW, FOR RESTORATION OF
HABITAT CONSERVATION AND OUTDOOR
RECREATION LANDS AND FACILITIES
WHEREAS, The City of Auburn has approved a comprehensive plan that
includes this project area; and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of WWRP, state funding assistance is
requested to aid in financing the cost of land development/restoration; and
WHEREAS, our agency/organization considers it in the best public interest to
complete the land acquisition and/or facility development/restoration project described
in the application;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor is authorized to make formal application to lAC for
funding assistance.
Section 2. Any fund assistance received to be used for implementation of the
project referenced above.
Section 3. Our agency/organization hereby certifies that its share of project
funding is committed and will be derived from local appropriations.

Section 4. We acknowledge that we are responsible for supporting all non-cash
commitments to the sponsor share should they not materialize;
Section 5.
We acknowledge that any property acquired or facility
developed/restored with lAC financial aid must be placed in use as an outdoor
recreation facility and be retained in such use in perpetuity unless otherwise provided
and agreed to by our organization and lAC (generally, lAC approves removing facilities
from the perpetuity requirement when the facilities have reached their designed life
expectancy, or because of extraordinary vandalism, acts of nature, fire, etc.).
Section 6. This resolution becomes part of a formal application to lAC.
Section 7. We provided appropriate opportunity for public comment on this
application.
Section 8. The Mayor is authorizes to implement such administrative
procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation.
Section 9. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in full force upon
passage and signatures hereon.
