A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON CHANGING THE ADDRESS OF A SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENCE FROM 1287 6TH STREET SE TO 1129 6TH STREET SE
AT THE PROPERTY OWNER'S REQUEST
WHEREAS, Auburn City Code (ACC) sections 12.52 and 15.52
concerning the naming of streets and the assignment of specific building
addresses provides authority to the building official to develop and administer the
City's Addressing Policies; and
WHEREAS, those policies are intended to create a uniform system for
assigning addresses to buildings within the City; and
WHEREAS, it is recognized in ACC section 15.52.055 that there will be
occasions where a property owner may petition for a change of a building
address; and
WHEREAS, the City code provides that such petitions are decided by the
Auburn. City Council; and
WHEREAS, a petition for changing a building address has been received
by the property owner; and
WHEREAS, ACC section 15.52.055 states that if the property owner is the
petitioner for the change of address, no public hearing is required; and
WHEREAS, the public safety representatives of the City's address
committee are in concurrence with the building official that the petitioner's
request will not inhibit public safety.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE as follows:
Section 1. BUILDING ADDRESS CHANGE. The building address for
the single-family residence known as 1287 6TH ST SE is hereby changed to
1129 6TH ST SE.
Section 2. IMPLEMENTATION. The Mayor of the City of Auburn is
herebyauthorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be
necessary to carry out the directions of this Resolution.
Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. That this Resolution shall take effect
and be in full force upon passage and signatures hereon.
