HomeMy WebLinkAbout4364RESOLUTION NO. 4 3 6 4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE SERVICE AGREEMENT NO. AG-S-003 (2008) BETWEEN THE CITY OF AUBURN AND ACCO ENGINEERED SYSTEMS RELATING TO HVAC MAINTENANCE SERVICES WHEREAS, the City of Auburn (City) and ACCO Engineered Systems (Provider) entered into an agreement on January 17, 2008, for the servicing of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in various city facilities; and WHEREAS, the City has additional equipment at the City's golf course facility located at 29630 Green River Road in Auburn, Washington that is not included in the January 17, 2008, agreement which the City needs serviced; and WHEREAS, the provider is able to perform these services at a cost that is acceptable to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES as follows: Section 1. The Mayor of the City of Auburn and the Auburn City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an amendment to service agreement between the City of Auburn and ACCO Engineered Systems dated January 17, 2008, which amendment shall be in substantial conformity with Amendment # 1 to Service Agreement No. AG-S-003 (2008) between the City of Auburn and Resolution No. 4364 June 4, 2008 Page 1 of 2 ACCO Engineered Systems Relating to HVAC Maintenance Services attached hereto, marked as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this reference. Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation. Section 3. AG-S-003 (2008) BETWEEN THE CITY OF AUBURN AND ACCO ENGINEERED SYSTEMS RELATING TO HVAC MAINTENANCE SERVICES , THIS AMENDMENT is made and entered into this day of , 2008, by and between the CITY OF AUBURN, a municipal corporation of th State of Washington (hereinafter referred to as the "CITY"), and ACCO Engineered Systems (hereinafter referred to as the "Provider"), as an Amendment to the Service Agreement between the parties for AG-S- 003 executed on the 17th day of January, 2008. The changes to the agreement are described as follows: 1. AGREEMENT TERM: There is no change to the date of termination. 2. SCOPE OF WORK: The scope of work is amended to include additional equipment at the City's Golf Course facility, located at 29630 Green River Road, Auburn, WA. COMPENSATION: The amount of this amendment is $565.00 (five hundred sixty five dollars) per quarter, plus Washington State Sales Tax of $50.29 (fifty dollars and twenty- nine cents) per quarter, for approximately four quarters, for a total not-to-exceed amount for this amendment of $2,461.16 (two thousand four hundred sixty-one dollars and sixteen cents). The total agreement amount is increased to a total of $26,521.64 (twenty six thousand five hundred twenty-one dollars and sixty four cents). REMAINING TERMS UNCHANGED: That all other provisions of the Agreement between the parties for AG-S-003, executed on the 17t" day of January, 2008, shall remain unchanged and in full force and effect. Operating Inspection A. Check temperatures, pressures, voltages and amperages, etc. B. Tighten all starter terminals and check contacts for wear. C. Check crankcase heater (where applicable). D. Inspect evaporator and condenser coils. E. Inspect evaporator and condenser fans. F. Lubricate fan bearings (where applicable). G. Inspect and adjust belt alignment and tension. H. Inspect OR replace filters. • 1. Review equipment condition with the customer and provide recommendations for any uncorrected deficiencies. Check flex connectors to assure no air leakage. 2. Visually inspect fans for dirt, debris, tightness, etc. 3. Check and be sure all panels and guards are tight and secure. 4. Check for any excessive vibration or noise. 5. Report any uncorrected deficiencies to the customer. Clean intake screen on motor. 2. Inspect starter for signs of wear, arcing, overheating. 3. Inspect all burner linkages for security and/or damage. 4. Visually inspect accessible fuel delivery system for leaks. 5. Inspect and clean all air intake screens. 6. Test main and pilot flame failure protection. 7. Test combustion airflow safety circuit. 8. Verify operation of high operating limit controls. 9. Verify operation of operating controls. 10. Inspect flame condition. 11. Inspect flexible connections & ductwork for damage or leaks. 12. Lubricate fan shaft & motor bearings. 13. Verify operation of dampers and damper linkage. 14. Inspect fan wheel for free rotation, cracks, and alignment. 15. Test security of guards, doors, and panels. 16. Inspect all structural elements for corrosion and damage. 17. Test airflow switch operation. 18. Inspect motor windings for cleanliness. 19. Inspect starter and contactor points. 23. Inspect electrical connections for tightness. 24. Measure and record operating voltage. 25. Inspect and clean all combustion/primary air passages. 26. Test security of mounting points, tighten all major points. 27. Inspect ignition assembly & electrode, clean if necessary. 28. Inspect pilot and clean pilot orifice if necessary. 29. Inspect high tension wire for deterioration. 30. Inspect and set spark gap. 31. Test operation & setting of the gas pressure regulators. 32. Inspect area around oil pump seals for seal leakage. 33. Inspect flame detector and clean if necessary. 34. Test signal from flame detector. 35. Test flame detection with hot refractory. 36. Test minimum pilot function. 37. Perform operational test and log operating conditions. Minor inspections (Two Times per Year) 1. Check flex connectors to assure no air leakage. 2. Visual inspection of fans for dirt, debris, tightness, etc. 3. Verify all panels are secure. 4. Verify guards are tight and secure.
