HomeMy WebLinkAbout4398RESOLUTION NO. 4 3 9 8 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF AUBURN AND THE LOWEST QUALIFIED BIDDER FOR CONTRACT NUMBER 08-21, PROJECT NUMBER C41260, AUBURN BIRD VIEWING TOWER WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn has previously created the Auburn Environmental Park for the purpose of creating an urban green space with passive recreational amenities such as birding towers, informational kiosks, and trails; and WHEREAS, a project Bid Opening for the construction of the first Auburn Bird Viewing Tower is scheduled to take place on September 16, 2008; and WHEREAS, the City of Auburn Planning and Public Works Departments will assess the bids received and identify the Lowest Qualified Bidder following the Bid Opening; and WHEREAS, it is in the public interest for the parties to enter into an agreement for construction of C41260, Auburn Bird Viewing Tower with due expediency, in order to complete the project prior to the end of this year. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES as follows: Section 1. The Mayor of the City of Auburn and the Auburn City Clerk are hereby authorized to review bids, award, and execute an Agreement between Resolution No. 4398 September 3, 2008 Page 1 of 2 the City of Auburn and the Lowest Qualified Bidder for Project Number C412130, Contract Number 08-21, Auburn Bird Viewing Tower, which agreement shall conform with the Bid Documents, provided that the bid amount does not exceed the budgeted amount. Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation. Section 3.
