Administrative Recommendation:
City Council authorize the solicitation of bids and the purchase of equipment for the Les Gove Park Spray
Pool.
Background Summary:
The Les Gove Spray Pool project renovation includes coordination of a the purchase of equipment, which
will be installed by a general contractor in the area where the wading pool is now located. Authorization
to complete this project was previously approved by Council and we are now ready to proceed.
Estimated purchase price for this equipment is $63,829. Upon receipt of the equipment we will then be
ready to proceed with the installation. The project is identified in the 2664 Budget in Acct. No. 119-00-
19-66-

Staff is seeking approval to solicit bids to purchase this equipment as soon as possible. In order to
complete the 8 -week construction for the pool's use in the summer season this year, we are requesting
permission to advertise and purchase the necessary equipment by awarding to the lowest responsible
bidder. By doing so, we should be ready to open for this summer's programming season.
