City Council to authorize the Mayor to advertise for bids and award Contract 04-05, Project No. C403A,
Les Gove Spray Park Renovation, to the lowest responsible bidder.
Background Summary:
The Les Gove Spray Pool project includes the coordination of a general contractor to reconstruct the Les
Gove Wading Pool. An estimated construction time frame of eight (8) weeks is necessary to complete the
project before summer recreation programs start at Les Gove Park.
This project is identified in the 2004 Budget in Account No. 001-98-574-100. In order to gain a time
advantage for construction this year, authorization for the Mayor to award Contract No. 04-05 Les Gove
Spray Park Renovation if the bid is within budget.
Staff seeks approval to solicit bids to complete this project prior to the summer season this year.
